Vial Supply Calculator
A vial containing 10 mg holds 40 draws of 0.25 mg each (10 ÷ 0.25 = 40), before any dead-space loss.

Totals for the FDA-label escalations
Worked totals for the first four four-week steps of each label schedule we reproduce (four weekly uses per step). They show the arithmetic, not a recommendation.
| Schedule | Steps (mg) | Total mg |
|---|---|---|
| Semaglutide 2.4 mg | 0.25 → 0.5 → 1 → 1.7 | 13.8 |
| Tirzepatide 15 mg | 2.5 → 5 → 7.5 → 10 | 100 |
Worked example
Example: 10 mg vial, 0.25 mg per draw → 10 ÷ 0.25 = 40 draws.
How it works
1. Enter vial content
Total amount in the vial, in mg.
2. Enter amount per draw
The amount removed each time, in mg.
3. Divide and round down
Draws = vial mg ÷ mg per draw, rounded down to a whole number. Real-world dead space reduces this.
Frequently asked questions
How many draws are in a vial?
Divide the vial content by the amount per draw and round down. A 10 mg vial holds 40 draws of 0.25 mg, before losses.
Why is the real number lower?
Some liquid is lost in the vial, needle hub and syringe dead space.
Does this recommend how much to use?
No. It divides numbers for inventory planning only.
